120 Hours TEFL/TESOL Certificate Program

A TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) that requires 120 hours of coursework is a common qualification for individuals interested in teaching English to non-native speakers or English in schools.

This certification usually covers topics such as language teaching methodologies, lesson planning, classroom management, teaching techniques, grammar, and phonetics. The course may also provide opportunities for practical teaching experience or observation.

A TEFL certificate can enhance job prospects and increase earning potential for individuals interested in teaching English abroad or online. Many employers prefer to hire teachers with TEFL certification, and some countries may even require it for obtaining a work visa.

There are various organizations that offer TEFL certification programs, both online and in-person. It's important to research and choose a reputable program that meets your needs and goals. Some popular TEFL certification providers include the International TEFL Academy, TEFL Online, and ITTT (International TEFL and TESOL Training).

Methodology

The Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) methodology is used at LCT, and it encourages students to interact and practise speaking the target language.

Teaching Practice

Candidates who have never taught previously will find that Teaching Practice (TP) is of great assistance. Although TP is optional, applicants are urged to look out situations where they can practise teaching their target audience in their neighbourhood or ideal location. They will be able to use what they have learnt throughout their programme with us and receive priceless practical experience as a result.

We will offer a letter of recommendation for the internship at the school or institution of the candidate's choosing who is interested in participating in a TP.
