480 Hours Master in TEFL/TESOL

TESOL or TEFL programmes prepare teachers to work with non-native English speakers. A TEFL/TESOL certified teacher will be able to instruct immigrants, students studying abroad where English is the second language, or anyone who must communicate in English for work-related reasons. Lesson planning, grammar instruction, and exposure to various language systems are all covered in TEFL/TESOL training. Teachers who want to instruct in another country should take this course.

Because TEFL/TESOL is designed to prepare educators in teaching strategies and how to instruct students at various levels, it differs from simply teaching the English language. Additionally, TEFL/TESOL enables teachers to work with students of different ages.

All applicants at the Diploma level and higher will have access to a senior mentor with more than 35 years of expertise in the ESL area. The candidates will receive training in management, administration, and classroom management strategies at this level. The candidate will be able to demonstrate their level of experience in both teaching and administration, ensuring a successful career in the field of education. Candidates will also have the option of selecting either YL or BETT as their course specialisation.

Methodology

At LCT, we employ the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method, in which we push our students to use the target language in conversation and practise.

Teaching Practice

Candidates who have never taught previously will find that Teaching Practice (TP) is of great assistance. Although TP is optional, applicants are urged to look out situations where they can practise teaching their target audience in their neighbourhood or ideal location. They will be able to use what they have learnt throughout their programme with us and receive priceless practical experience as a result.

A letter of recommendation for the internship at the school or institution of the candidate's choosing will be provided to those who are interested in participating in a TP.
